Finally a name! And....72 characters??!

Hey guys, I know its been a while since I checked in, but I've been really busy with everything. I'm taking summer courses and I'm getting ready to go on vacation so things are a little hectic right now. Anyway, I have some news to share. You guys remember the original superhero character that I created, Reese Daniels, and how I was struggling for ages to find a proper superhero alias for him to use. Well I think I've finally settled on one. How do you feel about the name Jet Man. I like that the "Man" part of the name makes it sound iconic and "superheroey" but it doesn't make it sound too corny when you say it. It just kind of rolls off the tongue. Also, its not esoteric like Zephyrman, Sirocco Man, or Anemoi, which are names that I was juggling back and forth for a while. I think it fits him pretty well, overall. His main power is aerokinesis (he can control/manipulate air and wind) so he flies pretty much identically to a jet plane with air being propelled from his hands. Also, the city which I decided to base him in, Seattle, is rooted in the aerospace and aircraft industries (the Boeing Company, as in Boeing 747, was founded in Seattle). So I think a Jet Man belongs in Seattle. I mean, The Daring Jet Man; how good does that sound for a comic book title, huh? Let me know what you guys think about the name.

Anyway, the second bit of news I wanted to share with you also has to do with my comic-writing craze. I counted up the number of characters that I've created so far and the number came out to a whopping 72 characters overall!!!! I was actually shocked at that. I had no idea I had made that many!!! Mind you, they aren't all fully developed and a portion of them are supporting characters to the main superhero characters that I've created and a LOT of them are villains designed for the superheroes, but still.....72! Anyway, the reason I'm posting this news is that while I know some of you are anxious that I haven't posted any artwork in a while, I just want you guys to know that its not like I'm sitting around doing nothing, I'm just not drawing as of now, I'm focusing on writing my characters BECAUSE *I'll let you in on a little secret*. I SUCK at drawing people. those two characters that I did post pictures of, Bloody Mary and Reese, were either copied line for line from a website drawing tutorial (BM) or were just lucky flukes that I could never in a million years duplicate (Reese). Anyway for now, though, I'm just focusing on writing them and giving them backstories, character, and realistic motivations. I mean, that's what all good writers do right?

Anyway since I suck at drawing people, I might as well have something else to draw. For those of you who are fans of my work on fakemon, that's good news because I have some new ideas that I should be posting soon if time permits. Anyway, until next time guys, happy drawing
